Amazon hooked me up with a great deal on this incense burner. It works with standard and back flow incense cones. I bought this and it included an assortment of incense cones. i saw the same item advertised elsewhere without the cones for more money. The back flow incense creates a nice “rainfall smoke” effect.

This is cute, good quality. The incense that comes with it has a very thin trickle of smoke that falls down the waterfall. Perhaps another brand incense would work better and be more visible. This would make a nice holiday gift.

Haven’t been able to test due to the missing hole that should be on the top.
Due to this defect, the smoke will just flow down the sides and completely miss the path is should be taking.
I plan on getting a ceramic/ glass dremel bit and creating the hole myself. I expect this will void the return policy, but it is a risk I am willing to take.
Updated from 2 to 1 star: I have drilled the hole similar to the way it was in the picture. I thought I had a working product. Unfortunately, I discovered that heat rises and that means the incense smoke will never drop down into the fountain. This is basic physics.
I know I voided whatever buyer protections Amazon has for me by fixing this item. So I just threw it away and updated this review.

Given to my mom for mother’s day – she loves it! Using the correct type of cone incense with this holder, the smoke will initially travel upwards. Once it begins flowing downward, it flows in the curves of the holder and pools in the bottom. It’s memorizing and leaves the scent of the incense. Pretty and functional. Great Gift!

I actually had purchased one through somewhere else thinking I was getting a great deal on it. Amazon had it for less and I received it without having to wait for months to have it delivered. I bought it as a gift for my 18 year old son because he loved the other one I had bought. It is very relaxing to watch and my son was very happy he has his own. My knows what is cool still! LOL

I love this backflow waterfall! It does really work BUT, you cannot have any kind of draft in the same room….like a ceiling fan, the AC or anything that makes a breeze. So, I put it in the bathroom…..no breezes in there…..and it not only looks pretty, but it makes my bathroom smell nice. I do wish the incense would last longer though. I bought (separately) a package of 100 backflow incense cones and they work great…..they just don’t last very long….maybe about 10 minutes. I guess the bathroom would fill with smoke if they did…..but it would be nice to watch the smoke flow down the layers longer. I’m glad I bought this though. It works just as advertised.
