Purchased for my mom for her 74th Bday. She love stuff like this, HOWEVER when she opened it, most of the cones were smashed to dust and the others were a awful sent, all yellow were left about 12 to 15. When she lit it and placed the cone on top as per instructions, nothing,….. I mean nothing came down no “waterfall” effect, nothing. When I got to looking as to why, well….. The CONE should set on top of the HOLE that is in the glass to I assume, flow downward waterfall effect. Well… YEAH…. NO HOLE!!! You can see where it appears where it should be…. However it was dented and slightly had a hole, however due to poor production it didn’t get cut completely, well my mom thought if she pushed the tip of her small scissors maybe it would pop it as it should have been….. NOPE! I heard her screaming from across the house, I came running and she was holding her hand bleeding pretty badly. Turned out because my mom had already had a hot cone at the top burning a little bit, it heated the glass up and when she moved the cone and put the cold tip from her scissors into where the hole should have been…. The glass made a loud POPPED sound and part of it went one way while the other went another and my mom’s natural reaction was to catch it. Problem was she caught the hot jagged part… Not the cool bottom half. What a nightmare, 11 stitches later, a long ER Visit…. First thing when we walked in door was my mom threw that junk away and went to her room. I told her I would send it back, she told me don’t bother my b’day present I will give u the money back…. It’s going where it needs to be… Garbage! Happy BIRTHDAY Momma… 😔😢

College student here to give an honest review.
I was shaky about getting this since there were so many differing reviews, but ended up getting it anyways. A few things you may want to know (that I wish I knew before I got it):

1.) It’s a little tricky at first to learn how to line up the incese cone with the hole on top since the hole on the top is kind of on a slant. Besides figuring that part out, it’s fine. Definently annoying because I thought I would be able to place the cone on a flat surface and not have to deal w putting it at a slight angle and having to deal w ashes spilling on the top of the thing if the cone tipped over.
2.) The colors are a bit different than in the picture (I definitely like this coloring better though). In the picture, the top half is blue and fades to purple in the bottom half (what I ordered). The one I received is a darker blue on the top which fades into a dark brown on the bottom.
3.) If you have a fan running in any of the surrounding rooms, it will disrupt the smoke fall. Not just fans but air vents/anything that moves air in the slightest (even waving your hands will disrupt the smoke!). If you have an area where there’s not much air movement, or your air vents aren’t constantly pumping, then it’s great. It took a couple tries to get the smoke water fall going, but when it did, I really enjoyed it.
3.) There’s a little compartment at the bottom where the smoke flows into that you can place the burning incense cone to finish burning. Since the incense cone maintains it’s shape as ash, it may confuse some people when they try to pick it up and it falls apart and makes a mess. Instead, when the cone is about 1/4 through burning, just pick it up with the tweezers and place it in the bottom part to finish burning. The ceramic will keep the fire and ash from spreading.
4.) If you go to Google and review some credible sights (.edu, .gov, etc), you will read that as incense burns it releases particulates into the air that are labeled as lung irritants. Not only that, but as being possibly carcinogenic (meaning it will cause cancer). In the box, a note came from the company saying to not worry about health issues, but they don’t mention any of these things. I feel that everyone who wants to burn incense should be aware of this, and the company should say how they have attempted to lessen the potential effects from breathing in these air particles (or at least make everyone aware incase they want to light it constantly and are always breathing it in).
5.) The smell lingers. Personally, I really like this because I like the smell of incense and it means I don’t have to light a lot of the cones constantly. Usually, I light one every few days to a week to watch the smoke water fall–but when I do light another, the scent is still there.
6.) This will require you to wipe it down once every week to two weeks. The hole where the cone burns on will build up some burnt cone residue around the hole. This is an easy fix, all you have to do is take a paper towel with some water and wipe it up (sometimes you need to put a little elbow grease into it).

It’s really not for use because the insence burns to fast for these. Looks good sitting on a desk as a whatnot.
